What a great web site. Certainly enhances the profile of Methodism in the area. . Interested to see mention of table tennis. What do I do to join in?

Admin reply: Dear Sheila,

Thank you very much for using our website, we are glad you found it helpful and also for the compliments. It is always good to get some positive feedback.

The Table Tennis have finished their programme for the summer and restart in September. I have contacted Richard Mellor who runs the Table Tennis. Richard is off on holiday now for two weeks so asks if you could contact him in a couple of weeks he will be very pleased to let you have the details first hand.

Kind regards,

Alan Chapman

can anyone help in Langley find where my gt.grandfather is buried, His name was James Slack (born in Wildboarclough 1824). He married Margaret Kemp of 43 Langley, Ridgehill in 1853. and they lived in Dirty Lane- now Cockhall Lane- Sutton. They had about 6 children including my grandfather Thomas Edmund Slack. I have also come across the name Albert ORAM Slack and Harry ORAM Slack, although I dont know where the Oram comes from. I would be very grateful for any information, as we have searched most of the local churchyards.

I was very interested to see your website.
It brought back memories of the only time I visited your church, in 1959 when I was a bridesmaid at the wedding of George Whiston and Yvonne Hall. Sadly I have lost touch with them over the years.
